A Collaborative Environment

The IDR Research team collaborates closely with administrative offices and research programs across the UF Health Science Center and main campus. IDR research services provide key data to multi-disciplinary research teams in support of scientific discoveries, grants, and publications.

CTSI BIOMEDICAL INFORMATIC PROGRAM

Led by Dr. Bill Hogan, collaborate closely with the IDR research team. They provide informatics expertise and leadership to the ongoing growth and development of the UF Health IDR.

ONEFLORIDA CONSORTIUM

Led by PI Dr. Betsy Shenkman, the OneFlorida Clinical Research Consortium collaborates closely with the IDR research team. The IDR research team delivers UF Health patient data to OneFlorida, and manages OneFlorida’s i2b2 service for statewide cohort discovery.

UF HEALTH CANCER CENTER

(UFHCC) and its members are dedicated to providing leading-edge cancer care and conducting original research for the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

UF HEALTH PRIVACY

Inherent to the IDR is the honest broker processes designed with the UF IRB and UF Health Privacy Office to comply with standards for compliance, privacy, legality, information security and informatics. This approach enables a straightforward IRB data request process to have an honest broker release identified data for recruitment and other purposes as approved.

THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD

The IDR research team works with the UF IRB to ensure that access to data abides the principles of the “honest broker” practice and ensures that access to human subject data is in accordance with all federal, institutional and ethical guidelines.

OFFICE OF CLINICAL RESEARCH

The OCR is responsible for rethinking the way clinical research happens at the University of Florida, supporting the diverse portfolio of clinical research and health-related human subjects research across all colleges.

UF PRECISION MEDICINE PROGRAM

The program screens patients genetic information to determine whether a specific drug can be used successfully. Researchers in the program have led seven clinical implementations for gene-drug pairs, supporting genotype-guided therapy and developing multiple education programs .

ALL OF US

The research program from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is seeking one million or more people from across the U.S. to help speed up medical research and advance precision medicine to learn how our biology, lifestyle, and environment affect health.

PRISMAP LAB

Led by Dr. Azra Bihorac, is a collaborative research partnership for the design, development and implementation of Intelligent Healthcare Systems.

THE EHEALTH LAB

Led by Dr. Jiang Bian, serves as a collaborative incubator at the University of Florida for research related to leveraging these and other emerging technologies with evidence-based research and clinical practices to improve health and health care.

TIGHE LAB

Led by Dr. Patrick Tighe, examines how machine and deep learning algorithms, decision and process modeling, and social network analyses can improve processes related to acute postoperative pain, cognition, and perioperative patient safety.
